Doyle Ivie has been training and showing herding dogs for the past 12 years. But, for the last 20 years he has had Australian Shepherds. He has shown Australian Shepherds, Border Collies and a cross bred Border Collie in ASCA, AKC, AHBA and GA Stockdog Association, stock dog trials. Doyle holds herding classes and clinics where he has worked with Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Shelties, Belgian Tervuren, Kelpies, Malinois, Corgi's, Pulis, Bearded Collies, German Shepherds and Bouvier. In his spare time he provides livestock for AKC herding trials. He has provided the stock for 2 German Shepherd National Specialties in Perry , GA and has provided the stock and site for a Belgian Tervuren National Specialty.
Prior to his work with herding training Doyle was an active horseman, rather cowboy, and spent a lot of years in the roping pen and competing in jackpots and rodeos. He has been a farmer most of his life and has a very active fencing business in Northeast GA. Doyle lives in Watkinsville , GA on a 40 acre farm (Woods End Farm) with many dogs, about 76 sheep and 30 + ducks, a few donkeys, a mule and a horse. |
