Working sweepstakes
For the first time in 2017, an ABTC National Specialty will offer Working Sweepstakes honoring our Tervuren that compete and title in performance events. Working Sweepstakes will be judged by Julia Fiechter on Wednesday, May 10 in the afternoon after Puppy Sweepstakes.
"No professional handler may show a dog in the Sweepstakes unless they own or co-own the dog or are a member of the immediate family of the owner, or are listed as the Breeder."
Working Sweepstakes is open to all AKC registered [Full Registration & Limited Registration] Belgian Tervuren 6 months or older who have earned AKC titles in more than one area of performance competition. Entrants do not need to be entered in a regular class, and may be altered. Champions of Record may compete. Classes will be divided by sex.
Working Sweepstakes requires titles in at least two areas of AKC competition that meet the requirements for the ABTC Versatility Award (agility, herding, obedience, tracking); at least one of which is a higher title than an entry level title. The highest level performance title earned determines the class to enter (Working 1, Working 2 and Working CH). Copies of the performance titles will be submitted with a Working Sweepstakes entry.
First Place dog and bitch from each class (Working 1, Working 2 and Working CH) will compete for Best in Working Sweepstakes with the Opposite Sex Winner being awarded Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Working Sweepstakes.

If your Tervuren has an advanced performance title in the Working 1, Working 2 or Working CH column you can enter Working Sweepstakes if you have at least one title in a different eligible performance venue. Entry Level column titles fulfill the second title requirement to enter Working Sweepstakes. The highest level title earned determines the class to enter (Working 1, Working 2 and Working CH).
